Program Details

Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Education (BSME)

The BSME program is a study abroad program in Budapest, Hungary, designed for undergraduates and recent graduates interested in the learning and teaching of secondary mathematics. The program explores the Hungarian pedagogy, which places a strong and explicit emphasis on problem solving, mathematical creativity, and communication. Participants engage in mathematical exploration, observe Hungarian classrooms, and teach their own lessons to Hungarian students. The program is designed so that credits are transferable to American colleges and universities.
