The Bachelor of Science in Design Engineering offers a unique focus area in STEM Teaching, as well as a Master of Science in STEM Education. This program is designed to prepare students for teaching careers at various levels, ranging from elementary to university-level instruction.
Program Details
The Teach@Mines program enables students to transfer their STEM expertise to the K-12 context, providing them with career options as science, math, and computer science teachers. Through this program, students learn how to translate the science of teaching, learning, and assessing into formal and informal educational practices.

- Prepare pre-service STEM teachers to provide compassionate, ethical, and innovative curriculum and education
