Program Overview

The Master of Engineering degree is a non-thesis program that requires candidates to complete a minimum of 36 hours of graduate course credit.


Program Requirements

  • Candidates must complete at least 18 of the credit hours from the Petroleum Engineering Department.
  • Up to 12 graduate credit hours can be transferred from another institution.
  • Up to 9 credit hours of senior-level courses may be applied to the degree.
    • All senior-level courses must be approved by the student's advisor and the department head.
  • All courses must be approved by the student's advisor and the department head.
  • No graduate committee is required.
  • No more than six credit hours can be earned through independent study.
