Introduction to the Vehicle Engineering Program

The Vehicle Engineering program began recruiting undergraduate students in 2006 and was selected as a first-class undergraduate program in Shandong Province in 2019. The program has the right to grant master's and doctoral degrees. After more than a decade of development, it has formed a professional training system that combines general vehicles and special petroleum vehicles, as well as traditional energy and new energy vehicles. The program is designed to cultivate high-quality talents with international vision, strong innovation, and engineering practice abilities, who can engage in theoretical research, design, manufacturing, and operation management in the field of vehicle engineering.

Faculty and Facilities

The program has a high-level faculty team led by national-level talents and provincial teaching masters. The team has a reasonable age and academic structure, a balanced title structure, and rich practical experience. Currently, there are 22 full-time teachers in the program, including 4 professors and 11 associate professors.

The program has relatively complete and advanced teaching and research facilities, with 11 professional laboratories covering an area of over 2,000 square meters. Since its establishment, the program has achieved significant results in scientific research and talent cultivation, relying on the school's mechanical engineering discipline. It has the basic facilities, conditions, and capabilities to conduct cutting-edge research and solve major engineering problems in the profession.

Education and Employment

The program has cultivated over 1,000 undergraduate graduates, with an employment rate of over 95%. Graduates are mainly employed by large automobile companies such as FAW-Volkswagen, FAW Jiefang, SAIC-GM, BYD, China National Heavy Duty Truck, Dongfeng Motor, Zhengzhou Yutong, and Weichai Power, as well as petroleum special vehicle manufacturing enterprises affiliated with China National Petroleum Corporation and China Petrochemical Corporation. Students have a solid grasp of knowledge, strong engineering and innovation abilities, and the quality of talent cultivation has been widely praised by the industry.
