Introduction to the 2021 Tomsk University Winter Online Course Project
The 2021 Tomsk University Winter Online Course Project is a unique opportunity for students to engage with various topics in the field of management. The project is designed to familiarize participants with multiple subjects, including business strategy development and redesign, market entry, special economic zones, global marketing mix, business communication, problem-solving and decision-making, corporate social responsibility, and conducting business with Chinese partners.
Project Details
- Project Time: January 18, 2021 - January 29, 2021
- Project Content: The course covers a wide range of topics related to management and is taught by prominent teachers from Tomsk University's Economics and Management Faculty, international partners, and members of the board of trustees, as well as managers from Russian and international companies.
- Course Structure: The winter course includes 20 hours of online classes (2 hours per day, with each hour lasting 80 minutes).
- Certificate: Upon completion, students will receive a certificate that can be included in their personal file during admission and provides additional points for competitive admission.
Academic Credit Recognition
For Undergraduates
- Credit Recognition: Undergraduates who participate in overseas university exchange projects to take courses or participate in professional internships can have their credits recognized if the course content and teaching requirements are consistent with or similar to those of our university. This is based on the "China University of Petroleum (East China) Undergraduate University Exchange Management Regulations."
- Second Classroom Score: Participation in short-term cultural exchange projects or online cultural lectures can be counted towards the second classroom score, following the "China University of Petroleum (East China) 'Second Classroom Score Sheet' Implementation Details" regulations.
For Graduate Students
- Credit Recognition: Graduate students who participate in overseas university exchange projects can have their credits recognized if the courses taken are similar in content to those in their professional training program. If the courses are significantly different, they can be recognized as UPC Intensive Curricula (UPCIC) credits.
- UPCIC Credit Recognition Rules: Detailed rules for credit recognition and UPCIC credit recognition can be found in the "Graduate Course Credit Recognition and Score Conversion Management Regulations (Trial)" and the "Graduate Credit Recognition Form" downloadable from the attachments.
Payment of Foreign University Fees
- The tuition fee for this course is 14,200 Russian rubles (approximately 1,300 Chinese yuan).
UPC International Exchange Scholarship
- Students who participate can apply for the "Global Dream Assistance Scholarship" (application requirements and process can be understood by joining the group: UPC International Exchange Scholarship), with a subsidy of 1,000 yuan for online projects and 3,000 yuan for offline projects.

- All interested undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply.
Application Process
- Application Form: Students need to fill out the "Tomsk University Winter Online Course Application Form" and send the signed scan to the specified contact before January 13, noting the project name, professional year, and name.
- Additional Forms: After successful registration, students will need to submit additional forms, such as the "China University of Petroleum (East China) Undergraduate Overseas Study Exchange Project Application Form" or the "China University of Petroleum (East China) Graduate Overseas Study Exchange Project Application Form."
