Program Overview
2021 CAU Global Ph.D. Fellow Program
Introduction
The 2021 CAU Global Ph.D. Fellow Program is a university program aimed at fostering excellent young researchers by providing them with the opportunity to focus on their academic and research pursuits. The program is part of the university's efforts to promote academic excellence and research innovation.
Purpose
The purpose of the program is to support outstanding Ph.D. fellows in their research endeavors by providing them with financial assistance for overseas training and research activities. The program aims to cultivate a new generation of researchers who can compete at the global level.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Ph.D. degree
- Have at least one year of experience as a research staff member in the university's BK21 project (can be waived if the applicant is selected as a research professor)
- Be able to conduct long-term overseas research (up to one year) at a foreign university or research institution
- Not have any reasons for disqualification as a research professor
- Have published at least two papers in a journal listed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) within the past three years
- Be able to depart for overseas research within the year of selection
Application Fields
The program is open to applicants from departments and fields selected for the university's 4th-stage BK21 project.
Number of Recipients
The program will select up to three recipients.
Support Details
The program will provide the following support:
- Annual overseas research expenses of up to KRW 48 million
- Round-trip airfare (actual expenses)
Support Period
The support period is one year, with the possibility of an additional one-year extension based on an annual evaluation.
Application Period
The application period is from July 8, 2021, to July 26, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Application Submission
Applications should be submitted to the Future Convergence Institute (Room B113, 100th Anniversary Hall).
