Health Administration Program

The Master of Health Administration program at Hofstra University is a CAHME-accredited program that offers students the opportunity to study with leading faculty in the field of health care. The program is available both on-campus and online, allowing students to choose the format that best suits their needs.


Program Options

  • ONLINE OR IN-PERSON: Students can choose between on-campus or online learning. The online MHA offers immersive, asynchronous learning and provides access to distinguished faculty scholars and New York health care executives who are leaders in their fields.
  • ACADEMIC TRACKS: The program offers two optional academic tracks: Operations Management and Long-Term Care Administration.

Admission Requirements

  • UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE: To be considered for the Master of Health Administration programs, students must have completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.

    • Two letters of recommendation

Edward Coffield

Dr. Edward Coffield, Program Director and Associate Professor of Health Professions, holds a doctorate in Economics. His research focuses on conducting economic analyses of school- and community-based interventions, practices, and policies intended to improve the health of children and adolescents by altering the environments in which they live, learn, and play.


Dr. Gail Marcus

Dr. Gail Marcus is Assistant Professor of Population Health, Department of Population Health at Hofstra University.
