Sports Journalism Program
Program Details
The Sports Journalism program is designed for students aged 12 to 18 years old. Programs are typically offered from late September to early June and from July to August. During the academic year, programs are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on weekends. Summer programs run from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.
Instructor Qualifications
Instructors are current industry professionals with college degrees in Communication and/or Journalism. Guest speakers include notable figures such as Kenny Albert, Mike Breen, and Freddie Coleman.
Program Tuition
Program tuition includes all program supplies, demo reels for selected programs, and catered lunch for summer programs.
Typical Program Day
A typical program day includes attendance taking, review of the daily syllabus, and instruction in the classroom, computer lab, audio recording studio, or TV recording studio.
Lunch and Beverages
Summer programs offer catered lunch, with options including deli sandwiches, hot food, and pizza. Students can also bring their own lunch.
Certificate Program Requirements
The Sports Journalism & Broadcasting Certificate Program has specific requirements, which can be reviewed on the university's website.
Demo Reel Files
Demo reel files are communicated to students via hand-delivery, flash drive, or Google Drive.
What to Bring to Classes
Students should bring a writing utensil and pad, and dress professionally for on-camera recordings.

Transportation
Transportation is available for summer programs for an additional fee and must be confirmed two weeks prior to the program commencement date.
