Hofstra University's Special Education Assessment and Diagnosis program is designed to prepare professional personnel to serve as educational evaluators responsible for identifying students in need of special educational services.

Program Details

This program is intended to meet the extended professional needs of teachers certified in:

• Elementary education
• Middle education
• Secondary education
• Reading education
• Special education at the preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and/or secondary school levels.

Program Objective

The objective of the program is to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to identify students who require special educational services, thereby enabling them to provide appropriate support and interventions.
