Program Overview

The English (B.A. or B.S./J.D.) program is a six-year accelerated course of study that leads to both the B.A. or B.S. in English and J.D. degrees.


Eligibility and Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, undergraduates must:


  • Major in English
  • Complete at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate course work, including all general education and major requirements
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.25
  • Take the LSAT and score at or above the median LSAT score for the previous year's entering class at the College of Law

Program Structure

Undergraduate Requirements

Students must complete all the requirements of the English B.A. or B.S. degree, as well as all general education requirements, by the end of their junior year.


Law School Requirements

When accepted into the College of Law, students will matriculate in the fall of their senior year. Up to 30 hours of law courses will count toward the final 30 credits of their undergraduate degree. The final two years of the program will follow the standard College of Law timetable.
