Finance at NIU

The Bachelor of Science in Finance program at Northern Illinois University (NIU) is designed to master the art of money management. From start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, businesses need people who can put money to work. As a finance major, students will learn how to manage acquisitions and funds for individuals and organizations. With internships and other opportunities for hands-on learning, students will have the business knowledge, skills, and network for a fulfilling finance career.


Program Overview

The program will prepare students to take the exam to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) or Certified Treasury Professional (C.T.P.). Students will be ready to handle important tasks related to purchasing, sales, asset management, and investing for businesses, government offices, and/or individuals.
