Program Overview
Accelerated B.S. Biomedical Engineering /M.S. Electrical Engineering Program
The departments of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial and systems engineering offer an accelerated B.S/M.S. degree sequence. This sequence leads to a Master of Science (M.S.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in their respective programs.
General Requirements
Students must have finished at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate work with a GPA of at least 3.00. A minimum GPA of 3.00 must be maintained during the course of study. Failure to meet the requirements of the accelerated sequence may lead to a B.S. degree only, but only after all requirements for that degree have been met.
Program Structure
- All students enrolled in the B.S./M.S. degree sequence must have their schedule approved by their faculty advisor each semester.
- Any deviation from the approved course schedule may delay graduation.
- Students must complete all undergraduate required courses, including nine semester hours of technical electives.
- Only those technical electives taken for graduate credit, during the student's final undergraduate term, will be credited towards the M.S. degree program.
Degree Options
- Students are required to fulfill all requirements for one of the following options:
- Thesis option
- Project option
- Course option
