Program Overview
MLIS Program
The MLIS program at San JosÈ State University has specific requirements for students who do not live within the catchment area of San JosÈ, California. These students are considered Special Session students and must follow certain procedures to participate in the tuition fee waiver program.
Eligibility and Application
To be eligible for the tuition fee waiver program, MLIS students who are Special Session students must submit their fee waiver application for program eligibility review. Once the application is approved, students must contact the Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations office to be switched from Special Session to Regular Session. The email requesting this change must include the student's name, CSU campus, and SJSU ID or application number.
Taxation
All employees and eligible dependents taking graduate courses, including those in the MLIS program, are subject to taxation.
