Overview
This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to produce content for any platform, allowing them to seize opportunities as new platforms emerge. Students will learn to interview, research, report, write, shoot, and edit audio and video, create graphics, and master social media. The program also grounds students in the fundamentals of news and feature writing, examining the dynamics of the Inverted Pyramid structure for hard news and exploring the flexibilities and creativity of feature writing.

Teaching and Learning
The program will be delivered through a mixture of lectures, seminars, workshops, practical classes, and one-to-one tutorials by experienced senior journalists and academic staff. Students will learn the fundamental skills of journalism in a state-of-the-art, multi-platform digital newsroom with broadcast facilities, using industry-standard hardware and software.
Assessment and Feedback
Students will be assessed by a combination of practical work, coursework, and exams. The final year includes a research dissertation and a practical project under the guidance of supervisors, allowing students to become authorities on a particular area of journalism.
