Course Structure

The program is structured to provide a broad knowledge of financial mathematics, including accountancy practice, financial markets, and the wider business environment. The course content includes:

• Year One: Modules such as Calculus, Data Analysis, Introduction to Linear Algebra and Computation, Introduction to Discrete Mathematics and its Applications, and Introduction to Economics and Finance.
• Year Two: Modules including Differential Equations, Probability and Statistical Inference, Mathematical Enterprise, and Discrete-Time Financial Mathematics.
• Optional Placement Year: Students can opt for a year-long work placement to gain practical experience.
• Final Year: Core modules like Project and Professional Skills, Medical Statistics and Financial Modelling, Continuous-Time Financial Mathematics, and optional modules such as Experimental Design and Machine Learning, Stochastic Processes, Linear Systems, Optimisation, Corporate Finance, and Investment and Portfolio Management.

Entry Requirements

• UK Students: Standard offer of 112 UCAS Tariff points from up to four qualifications including A-level or equivalent Maths grade C. Contextual offer of 104 UCAS Tariff points.
• International Students: Academic entry requirements of 112 UCAS Tariff points from up to four qualifications including A-level or equivalent Maths grade C, with English language requirements as specified.

Fees and Funding

• UK Students: ｣9,790 per year, with reduced fees for placement year (｣1,905) and year abroad (｣1,430).
• International Students: ｣17,950 per year, with reduced fees for placement year (｣1,905) and year abroad (｣1,430). Scholarships of up to 50% of tuition fees are available.
