Course Description

Our Artificial Intelligence BSc will equip you with systematic knowledge and experience of the theory and practice of AI, offering you opportunities to develop analytical and practical transferable skills, as well as an understanding of the changing role of AI in society and relevant social, legal, professional, and ethical responsibilities, including, for example, philosophical issues related to the dangers of AI. All these are key knowledge areas and skills that will allow you to learn and adapt continuously and are important in both well-established and cutting-edge roles undertaken by AI professionals.

The BSc is made up of modules covering important AI disciplines and an individual project that will offer you an opportunity to integrate the knowledge gained across different modules and to apply this in the context of a more complex development project (e.g. a project solving real challenges faced by the industry). You will study modules offering group projects, classroom and lab-based tutorials, and there are opportunities to explore an extensive range of innovative optional modules, allowing you the freedom to develop your study pathway to reflect your interests.
