Library services
The Library is open to current students, faculty, and staff of the University of Dubuque with a current, valid identification card, as well as current students, faculty, and staff from Wartburg Theological Seminary (WTS), Northeast Iowa Comunity College, Loras College, and Clarke University with current, valid school indentification cards.
Medical services
The mission of the University of Dubuque Student Health Services is to promote the health and wellness of the University Community, to enhance student retention, and to support academic and personal success.

When you talk to UD students, they’ll tell you about an active residential community where students immerse themselves in everything that college life has to offer. You’ll be challenged by a curriculum based in the liberal arts that focuses on solid career preparation. No matter what your major, you’ll be engaged in hands-on learning and the Career Resource Center will help you to explore options, hone in on career choices, and search for professional positions.
Sports facilities
The Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center, an 87,000 square foot facility opened in the fall of 2008 includes: a 6,900 square foot, 2-level fitness center including areas for cardiovascular workout and free weights/machines; a 16 foot-wide concourse running the length of the facility, overlooking the track and courts; home, visitor, officials and faculty/staff locker rooms; a juice bar/lounge area.
Accreditation
The University of Dubuque is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, Illinois, 60604 and the State of Iowa Department of Education. Specific programs are accredited by the State of Iowa Department of Education, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and the Aviation Accreditation Board International. The University holds institutional membership with the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education and the Iowa Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
