Student services

We want you to enjoy your student experience at UNIC, which is why our Student Support team is always available to assist you with any issues that may arise. Whether you need advice, guidance or counselling pertaining to academic or personal difficulties that may be impacting your studies, a Student Support advisor will work with you to find a solution.

Housing services

Our Accommodation Office can help you find suitable and convenient housing for the duration of your studies.

This newly constructed UniHalls private hall of residence, is located a few minutes walking distance from the main campus and provides a modern, comfortable and safe environment for its residents. The accommodation complex offers a reading room, a cafeteria, restaurants and other recreational spaces, giving you the opportunity to easily meet and make friends with other students.

In addition to UniHalls, you can choose from a great range of other accommodation options, including renting an affordable private apartment or house in close vicinity to the University.

Library services

The Library holds approximately 100,000+ print books in all relevant areas of study and can be accessed through the online catalogue UniCAT (Aleph). Access is also given to thousands of electronic resources through on-line databases, a big number of E-books (500,000) and full text e-journals (30,000) from various publishers that cover all relevant areas of study.

ICT services

The University provides high speed connection to appropriate services and the Internet through a number of high performance local area networks (LAN), using one hybrid GB backbone built with copper and fiber optics cables.

Medical services

The Centre provides a safe, caring, and professional environment in which people can access counselling services.

Campus life

UNIC’s modern campus is made up of 20 purpose-built and refurbished buildings situated amid the urban landscape in the bustling suburb of Engomi in Nicosia. Over the last few years, we have invested over €100 million in our campus infrastructure.

The expansive layout of our campus allows us to provide specialised facilities to support each academic department. The whole neighbourhood is oriented towards student life, allowing for a unique social experience, characterised by community interaction, diversity, learning and fun.

In addition to the teaching facilities, the campus provides the full set of student amenities and support services.

Sports facilities

The University’s recently constructed UFIT Fitness Centre is a leading gym in Cyprus, offering students excellent services under the professional guidance of health and sports science specialists.

UFIT is all about keeping you fit and healthy with its brand new, state-of-the-art equipment, innovative classes and the expertise of its instructors. UNIC students benefit from special rates.

The University of Nicosia is an active member of the ‘Cyprus University Sports Federation’ (CUSF) in Football (Soccer), Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, and the Marathon, with both men and women’s teams.

Student clubs

There is a variety of clubs and societies where students can get involved, make new friends, have some fun and be part of the student community. Students usually form clubs based on social, ethnic, academic, athletic, arts, or other special interests. This service provides students with the opportunity to join or create a Club or a Society.


All University of Nicosia Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degrees are accredited by the Republic of Cyprus, following an independent evaluation by the Evaluation Committee for Private Universities (ECPU).

University of Nicosia is the first university in Cyprus to be ranked by QS World University Rankings, placing number 91 in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Region, out of the 450 universities that had applied and were assessed this year by the global rankings agency.
