Illinois Institute of Technology
IIT is a private research university in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 1890 as Armour Institute of Technology, and later merged with Lewis Institute in 1940. IIT is known for its programs in architecture, engineering, and technology.
The IIT campus is located in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago. The campus is home to a number of architecturally significant buildings, including the Crown Hall, which is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the 20th century.
