Services
Student services
The Help Desk is a universally important location at every residency. From check-in to check-out, staff are available to answer all of your way-finding, transportation, housing and dining questions. They also provide technical support to all of the residency workshops and events, as well as set up and re-set. In Vermont, Help Desk staff are available 24/7 during the residency. They are the command center for any logistics concerns, up to and including a campus emergency. Help Desk staff work closely with the Student Life staff to support faculty and students throughout the residency.
Housing services
All new students are required to stay on campus during their first residency unless they have a permanent residence within a 50-mile drive of their residency site. For subsequent semesters, students may stay off campus if they participate fully in all residency activities and academic programming.
As space allows, students have the option of requesting single or double rooms (charges vary), single-sex, coed, gender-neutral, scent free (Vermont only) and substance-free housing.
Library services
The Eliot D. Pratt Library offers services and resources in support of education and research in a hybrid in-person/virtual environment. The collection has 184,000+ total items, including 34,000+ printed books, 151,000+ eBooks, 400+ multimedia resources, electronic access to thousands of journal publications, and a carefully curated collection of free web resources.
ICT services
The Information Technology team provides a number of services to students and faculty at the residency. For new students, we offer an introduction to Goddard’s IT systems and services. For all students, we conduct a Goddard Net 2.0 workshop, which goes beyond the basics of sending email and posting messages.
Medical services
- pick up, or drive you, to get a prescription
- bring a meal to your room
- drive you to an urgent care facility, or help you make an appointment at a local healthcare facility
