Student Life

Campus life

Miami University Oxford is a residential campus, with nearly all first- and second-year students living in residence halls. These halls represent various Living Learning Communities (LLCs), which provide an opportunity for students to live and learn with others who share their interests. With our inclusive environment and active student body, it's easy to see why The Princeton Review calls our campus a "vibrant, social atmosphere."

Sports facilities

Student clubs

Student organizations are a pivotal component of the Miami University education and experience. With over 300 on campus student organizations available -- ranging from social and service organizations to athletic clubs -- opportunities for involvement are abound. Utilize the Miami University HUB organization directory in order to find the organization(s) that best align to your interests.

Accreditation

Miami University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region of the United States. Miami's most recent comprehensive accreditation review was in 2015, and it resulted in a continuation of our accreditation for ten years, through 2025. The University also had a year-four assurance review in 2019.
