About University
University Utara Malaysia (UUM)
Universiti Utara Malaysia was established to primarily develop and promote management education in the country.

Student services
The Student Affairs Department (HEP) embodies the heart and soul of a university. It plays a very important role in terms of providing the required services and helping the students develop their personality and realise their true potentials.
Housing services
- Student Accommodation Centre (SAC) - SAC manages 15 Student Residential Halls (ISIS) for students, students with families and students with special needs.
- EDC Hotel & Resorts
- EDC Hotel Kuala Lumpur - The hotel has 242 rooms including 6 suites.
Library services
Perpustakaan Sultanah Bahiyah (PSB) has more than 1.2 million of various materials in its collection with a staggering of more than 100,000 of circulated items every year. It was also contributed by the acquisition of digital items in various subject that accommodate learning and teaching subjects in UUM with more than 1 million titles.

- UUMIT is a dedicated group of information technology professionals working collaboratively with the campus community to advance the university’s mission.
- UUMIT provide information technology services that is safe and secure to support research, learning, teaching, administrative and student life.

Medical services
- The University Health Centre (PKU) provides medical treatment to students, staff and outsiders. It also offers guidance and education in health matters to promote good health and prevent diseases.
- Services include diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, dental and prescription medications and a variety of vaccinations and immunisations.
Student Life
Campus life
- As a fully residential university, Universiti Utara Malaysia provides accommodation for more than 20,000 students in 15 different residential halls. Many of these halls are named after multinational companies.
- The UUM campus is fully equipped with modern facilities and amenities, including well-equipped and fully air-conditioned halls and classrooms, student lounge.
Sports facilities
- Sports Centre is responsible to manage, organise, plan, regulate sports and recreational programme for students and staff. It is equipped with a modern complex and facilities covering an area of 74 acres offering almost 28 types of sports and leisure activities.
- Sports Centre also focuses on high performance sports to participate in programme organised by the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM), SUKIPT, IMTGT and other activities at the highest level.
