Over the years, Qatar University has witnessed a steady increase in the number of students enrolling in its expanding academic programs. As an equal-opportunity institution, QU enjoys a diverse student body of individuals from around the world, the majority of which have traditionally been women.
Library services
The library's circulation desk is the place where you may check out, renew, and return library materials. You may also place a hold on an item, report an item missing from the shelves, or inquire about fees assessed when materials are not returned by the appropriate due date. Reference materials and periodicals are not available for circulation, and may be used only on the library premises.

Campus life
Qatar University is situated on the northern edge of Doha, approximately 16 kilometers from the city center. The location is excellent, and overlooks the coast, the Doha Golf Course and the West Bay Lagoon housing complex on the eastern side. In addition to the main campus, the University has an experimental farm located 65 km north of Doha.QU’s main campus is built on a total area of about 8 square kilometers, with architecture that is distinguished and modern, while reflecting the ideals of traditional Islamic design.
Sports facilities
The Sports and Recreation section of the Student Activities Department in Qatar University provides a variety of high quality sports in the available outlets. This is done by offering numerous recreational and sports programs in the form of cycles. It also ensures that a wide selection of programs and facilities are available for use, inside and outside the male and female campus, for the students, alumni, teaching faculty, employees and their families.
