Uniarts Helsinki is ranked among the best performing arts schools in the world and offers the highest education in fine arts, music, dance and theatre in an inspiring multidisciplinary environment. Studies within the university’s academies and joint studies provide students with tools and capabilities to work as art professionals.

Services

Student services

Student services are located at each academy of Uniarts Helsinki and provide student counselling and answer questions regarding study attainments, personal study plans, and study-related benefits. Teachers are easily accessible and play a big part in giving students individual personal guidance and support throughout their studies.

Housing services

The Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region (HOAS) has rental apartments all over the metropolitan area. In the autumn, thousands of students apply for rooms at HOAS. 

Library services

The University of the Arts library has four locations: the Academy of Fine Arts, the Theatre Academy, and the Sibelius Academy in both Helsinki and Kuopio.

The collections and services of the University of the Arts Helsinki’s libraries are available to all customers, including the general public.

Medical services

The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS, in Finnish YTHS) provides health and medical care, mental health care and dental health care for university students who have a student union card.  There is plenty of information about health and diseases at the FSHS website.

Campus life

University of the Arts Helsinki's main campuses are located in central Helsinki. The Finnish capital is a vibrant seaside city with a special mix of functional and exotic. Helsinki has all the services of a modern city and easy access to nature. The blooming food and urban culture scenes offer unique experiences, attracting locals and tourists alike. 

Sports facilities

All Uniarts Helsinki students can use the gym facilities at the university’s Theatre Academy. Unisport also offers a wide range of affordable sport services to all university students in the Helsinki region. Student clubs

University of the Arts Student Union (ArtSU) is the community and interest and service organisation for students at Uniarts Helsinki. The student union is a self-governing community subject to public law, and all bachelor’s and master’s degree students at Uniarts Helsinki are automatically its members.
