Services

Student services

Colorado College students invest their time in a plethora of activities including the arts, athletics, community service, ethnic and cultural groups, media publications, spiritual groups, and student organizations. Student housing is guaranteed for all four years, and students are required to live on campus for the first three. 78 percent of students live on campus, where resources and services are abundant and easily accessible.

Housing services

Reasonable accommodations are determined by Accessibility Resources in collaboration with the student. Information the student provides on the past use and effectiveness of accommodations is important in helping us determine what may be beneficial for the student at Colorado College. We will also take into account the current impact of the student's disability in an educational setting. Communication between the student and Accessibility Resources is key to ensuring that appropriate accommodations are in place.

Library services

Tutt Library’s vision is to be one of the finest liberal arts college libraries in the country, responsive to the distinctive rhythms of the Block Plan and rooted in Colorado College’s sense of place.

Medical services

Colorado College proudly partners with DaVita Medical Group formerly CSHP to provide health services to students on campus through the Student Health Center.  The College has made health services available to students since the Center’s opening in 1963 and continues its commitment to delivering a wide array of programs to augment “life at CC”.

Student Life

Campus life

Located just north of downtown Colorado Springs, the CC campus is nestled at the intersection of nature's call and urban sprawl. It's within three hours of ten ski resorts, and under a day's drive from seven national parks. Campus itself also extends  30 miles west to the CC cabin and 160 miles west to the Baca campus at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Both offer secluded spaces for reflection, contemplation, and discussion.

Sports facilities

Athletic facilities include all outdoor playing fields, courts and track, the El Pomar Sports Center, the Schlessman Natatorium and the Honnen Ice Rink. These facilities are available primarily for the use by Colorado College students, faculty and staff. There are special guidelines for the Honnen Ice Rink as it is an auxiliary enterprise of the College.

Student clubs

With over 100 active Student Organizations, and the opportunity to create new ones, Colorado College provides an opportunity for every student to be involved.

Colorado College provides an opportunity for each and every student to become involved. Student Organization involvement allows students to maximize their college experience by taking advantage of a wide variety of campus opportunities. Student organization involvement is one way at CC that provides the chance to build lifelong friendships, to grow personally, to develop as leader, to engage in community service and much much more.

Accreditation

All teacher preparation programs at Colorado College, both undergraduate and the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program are accredited jointly by the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) and the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
