Student Life
Campus life
The College has two major campuses in Metro Vancouver (New Westminster and Coquitlam) as well as several smaller training centres in Surrey, Burnaby and Maple Ridge. With both main campuses directly on SkyTrain lines, Douglas is one of the most accessible post-secondary institutions in Metro Vancouver, drawing students from across the region.
Sports facilities
Our sports teams pride themselves on supporting each other to succeed, whether it’s during the game, in the classroom or as part of the community. Being Royal means you’ll write and define your own story all with our support. We believe in helping our student-athletes become well-rounded people in addition to being great at their sport, which helps prepare you for life after athletics. As a Royal you’ll be involved in student-leadership and community-volunteer opportunities, where you’ll learn what it means to be a leader and contributor.
Student clubs
We want to make your time at Douglas College as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The Douglas Students Union is your resource for saving money, keeping healthy and getting into clubs and events with like-minded students. We offer services such as: the DSU health and dental plan, financial aid, tax filing, first aid training, lockers, agendas, student grant funds and more. With active campaigns to knock interest off of student loans and create open free textbooks, the DSU is here to make your college experience the best it can be. If you’re looking to upgrade your college experience and get involved in the community, then the DSU is the perfect place for you.
