Student services
The study counsellors can give guidance and information regarding university studies at BTH.
You are welcome to make an appointment or ask your question directly to us using the form below.
At the reception, students can receive help with various concerns or be directed to the appropriate person.
We can help with:
- questions about course or programme registration
- transcripts of records or registration certificates
- BTH card
- student account support
- parking permits
If you have questions about the learning platform, timetable, required reading or other issues specific to your course/programme, and you are unable to find the answer on BTH’s website, please contact your course/programme director.
Housing services
Blekinge Institute of Technology has no student accommodations and cannot make reservations for students. In order to find accommodation, you have to make an online application or send an email to the housing companies. Blekinge Student Union can provide you with information about student accommodation in Karlskrona and Ronneby.
If you have not applied for housing before your arrival, you may have to stay a considerable time in a hostel before you can get a student room.
When you apply for an appartment, remeber to check:
- How much to pay in rent
- What is included in the rent (internet, electricity etc)
- If you are allowed to live together with friends
- If the appartment is furnished or not
Library services
The BTH library offers students modern and well-equipped premises for studies. In the upper floor of the library, you find Lövsalen, which is designed as an Active Learning Center, with round tables for group work, screens, and whiteboards. At the ground floor, there is a quiet area to meet the demand for more quiet reading places.
ICT services
As a student at BTH you get access to a number of IT services through your student account, see the menu on the left. Support for all common IT services for students are availble through the IT Helpdesk.
Medical services
The Student Health Service at BTH gives you help and advice on how to take care of both your body and soul during your studies. We focus on both individuals and groups.If you have any issues or problems related to your studies or your health you are welcome to contact us, nurse or counsellor, at the Student Health Service. If we do not have answers to your questions we will help you further to the right authority. The visits are free of charge and we are bound by professionally secrecy.

Campus life
BTH is located in the county Blekinge in the south-eastern part of Sweden and has campuses in Karlskrona and Karlshamn.
The campuses are both on the seafront and it is not unusual that visitors say that BTH has Sweden’s most beautifully situated campuses.
Although both Karlskrona and Karlshamn are rather small towns, the large metropolises Copenhagen and Stockholm are not far away. It takes only some 50 minutes to fly to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
Our campuses are ideal for outdoor activities, but they are still close to whatever practicalities you need in everyday life. Food stores, shops, cinemas, pubs – everything is easily reached.
