Through​ Yukichi Fukuzawa’s spirit of jitsugaku, Keio is dedicated to making far-reaching contributions to education and research that transcend ​both​ national and disciplinary borders.

Services

Student services

Since its establishment in the 1960s, the International Center has contributed to the development of the university's international programs. Today, it continues to coordinate and regulate such activities, along with the Global Engagement Office.

Housing services

Keio University has several off-campus accommodations for privately-funded international students. This accommodation is situated about an hour away from Mita Campus and rent costs around ¥50,900-¥78,000 per month. Further details will be provided to successful applicants. In the event that there are more applicants than rooms, rooms will be allocated by lottery. 

Library services

Keio University libraries (Media Centers) on each of six major campuses support the educational, research, and medical activities. The massive collection of books and journals together with the various academic databases and electronic journals adds the depth to research and learning. The libraries also provide various type of reading room from the space for quiet study to an active discussion.

Keio University is a comprehensive academic enterprise with six major campuses in Japan, along with a number of affiliated academic institutions on or near these campuses In addition, Keio University also operates several Town Campuses and a high school in New York. 

Student clubs

Along with school buildings and the Hiyoshi Media Center, many facilities such as institutes, a complex for collabortion with the public community, and organizations for their support are provided on Hiyoshi Campus.

Accreditation

The Graduate School on Business Administration, Keio University (Keio Business School, hereinafter KBS) was first granted accreditation by AACSB International (The Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) in 2000 and has been granted renewal twice. In April 2011, after rigorous peer review by EFMD (The European Foundation for Management Development), KBS was the first institution in Japan to be granted EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation.
