Student services
- Academic Advising at PolyU aims to help students to make informal and intelligent academic decisions/choices about their study at PolyU that suit their intellectual, professional and personal goals.
- It is instrumental to promoting student success, and plays a vital role in enhancing students’ overall learning experience at PolyU.
Housing services
Taught postgraduate students arrange their own accommodation on a self-financing basis. Main accommodation options may include:
- Self-arranged accommodations offered by PolyU recognised providers
- Others (e.g. student housing offered by other service providers or sharing a rented apartment in the private market)
Library services
The Library actively supports the University’s mission by providing integrated and timely access to high quality scholarly resources, an inspiring environment for intellectual growth and discovery, with responsive and outreaching services delivered by knowledgeable and innovative staff.
ICT services
WiFi access points have been installed throughout the campus. They can be found at all departmental offices, laboratories, and public areas including all lecture theatres and general teaching rooms, ITS Student Computer Centre, Library, sports centres, canteens, Chiang Chen Studio Theatre and Jockey Club Auditorium.
Medical services
The University Health Service (UHS) provides high quality service through a group of well-trained doctors, who have diversified training background and special interests. We aim at providing timely and quality primary health care service in a cost effective manner.
Student Life
Campus life
The University campus is strategically located in Hung Hom, Kowloon, on a 9.46-hectare site adjacent to the Cross Harbour Tunnel. In addition to classrooms, laboratories and other academic facilities, the campus offers sport, recreational facilities and other facilities including a multi-purpose auditorium, Industrial Centre, and language learning centres. A full range of campus services including restaurants, a bookstore, and banks are also provided. Student hostels are also located close to the campus.
Sports facilities
- Shaw Sports Complex consists of Sports Hall No.1 for major ball games; Sports Practice Hall for badminton, martial arts, fencing, and volleyball; a fitness room; two golf practice bays; an activity room; two rooftop tennis courts, and a table-tennis room.
- Michael Clinton Swimming Pool adjacent to Shaw Sports Complex, is an outdoor pool of 50 meter in length with 8 swimming lanes.
- Fong Shu Chuen Hall near Shaw Sports Complex is a multi-purpose sports hall for basketball, volleyball and badminton.
- Kwong On Jubilee Sports Centre in the Communal Building comprises Sports Hall No.2 for basketball and badminton, four squash courts, an activity room and a laboratory for fitness testing.
