University of Salzburg
The University of Salzburg, or Paris Lodron University (German Universität Salzburg) after its founder, the Prince Archbishop Paris Lodron, is located in the Austrian city of Salzburg, Salzburgerland, home of Mozart. It is divided into 4 faculties: catholic theology, law, humanities and natural science.

Services

Student services

The core functions of the service facilities include the administration of the study programmes, the provision of IT services, the maintenance of the university buildings and all personnel and financial matters. The University Library provides access to some 2.4 million media (books, e-books, audiovisual, etc.). In addition, many other facilities such as Quality Management, Research Service, Flexible Learning, International Relations and Public Relations all make important contributions toward the success of the University.

Housing services

  • The Welcome Center will be glad to help you (newly appointed academic staff and international guest scientists) in finding accommodation. The University has three housing options available. It is recommended to reserve early. Within narrow limits the Welcome Center will also support you in your search on the private housing market. Rents in Salzburg are high and cheap housing is difficult to find in the city.
  • No accommodation service for students.

Library services

The University Library of Salzburg is the leading library of the Salzburg region, offering more than 2.4 million media to its users. The Main Library and all affiliated faculty, departmental and specialized libraries provide books, e-books, journals and e-journals, electronic databases, audiovisual material and all kinds of media including microfiche.

Student Life

Campus life

  • PLUS Green Campus is the Sustainability Initiative of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS). The objective of this project is to transform our university step by step into a "green" university that includes all aspects of university life.
  • A modern understanding of sustainability encompasses three key areas: people, nature, and economy, that together when balanced, will benefit all partners.
