Prince of Songkla University (PSU), a public autonomous university established in 1967 as the first university in southern Thailand, consists of five campuses offering various programs of education consistent with the needs of their communities.

Services

Student services

The International Students Association of PSU provides a wealth of opportunities for networking, socializing and making friends through social and cultural activities, sightseeing around Thailand, etc. At times, the international students may have chances to join cultural activities and sightseeing trips organized for groups of exchanged students visiting PSU.

Housing services

One of the purposes of having dormitories in the campus is to improve learning environment, to let students have better opportunities to exchange their attitudes and view points, to foster good relationship and friendship, to develop students’ characters on many aspects such as how to live together in orderly manner as well as to learn to be responsible to ourselves and to the public in general.

International students will be accommodated on the 15th Floor of the dormitories: number 10 (Female) and number 11 (Male), having a total of total 64 rooms.

Library services

As the source of information and knowledge for all, PSU is managing six main libraries: two on Hat Yai Campus, and one on each of the other four campuses. Each library provides a full range of services to staff, personnel and students of the University, as well as to the general public. Moreover, most faculties also have their own specialized libraries.

ICT services

PSU Computer Center offers services for all and is open daily from 08:30 to 22:30. Assistance can be sought from the Help Desk from 08:30 to 16:30 on weekdays. During vacation and examination periods, the opening hours are usually adjusted. A PSU Passport (Username and Password) is required to access the university Management Information System (MIS).

Medical services

PSU is the only university in southern Thailand that has four medical facilities on campus!

PSU Hat Yai Campus has the biggest and most specialized general hospital in the region, namely Songklanagarind Hospital, a Dental Hospital, a Traditional Thai Medicine Hospital, and a Veterinary Hospital. Moreover, there is also a Pharmacy on campus, which is run by the PSU Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Campus life

PSU’s main campus is located in the busy, commercial city of Hat Yai in Songkhla province, the hub of trade and economy of the major provinces in the Lower South. Hat Yai campus, with its attractive landscape, provides a serene setting ideal for education and learning and is the center of various disciplines, including Health Science, Science and Technology, Engineering, Management Sciences, Liberal Arts, Economics, Law, Natural Resources, Environment Management, and Agro-Industry.

Sports facilities

At PSU, one can enjoy outstanding sports provisions: sport courts (tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball, takraw, petanque), multi-purpose playing fields, swimming pool (Hat Yai and Pattani only), fully-equipped gymnasiums, fitness center, areas for aerobics and Tai Chi classes.Yoga classes and other types of sporting are available in several buildings around campus.
