Services
Student services
The best way to start your stay in Passau is with the International Students' Orientation Weeks starting a few weeks before the beginning of the semester. During this time, you will get an introduction into your study programme and get to know each other and the University by participating in an exciting programme of trips and other social events.
Housing services
The International Office has set up an accommodation service for international students. We have a number of rooms available in our halls of residence, as well as several private flats which are available for rent to exchange students. Some are within walking distance to the university, others are more conveniently reached by bike, bus or car, but always in less than thirty minutes.
Library services
The Library's Lounge Rules have been partially abolished for the entire library: telephone calls are allowed and the food and drinks offered in the vending machines may be consumed on the spot. It is not permitted to bring food and drinks to the Library Lounge or the Library Lounge.
Medical services
As an international student coming to Passau, you need to have health insurance both for your matriculation at the University of Passau and when registering for a residence permit with the Ausländerbehörde (the foreigners registration office) of the City of Passau.
Student Life
Campus life
The University’s modern campus is located in the south-eastern part of Bavaria – Germany’s high-technology state – in verdant surroundings, a few minutes’ walk from the historic Old Town of Passau.
Student clubs
The ERASMUS student society AEGEE will also organise many events, some as part of the Orientation Weeks, others as separate events
Our degree programmes are individually accredited by ACQUIN or ASIIN.
