Hanken School of Economics is a leading university with 110 years of experience in research and education in economics and business administration. Our research is of an international_x000D_ high standard and is the foundation for all education. Housing services

Hankens has brand new student housing in Arabianranta, Majstranden. The Majsporten student housing project is a cooperation with Arcada University of Applied Sciences.

Applications are handled by Arcada Nova and are available on the webpage

Housing in Helsinki

HOAS (Foundation for Student Housing in the Helsinki Region) offers about 9 000 apartments for anyone undertaking full-time studies in a secondary level educational institution or university in the Helsinki region. 

Housing in Vaasa

VOAS (The Student Housing Foundation in Vaasa) offers apartments to students in Vaasa. The foundation offers shared apartments, studios and family apartments in downtown, Palosaari, Suvilahti, Huutoniemi, Gerby and Melaniemi. 

ICT services

Hanken  provides a number of IT-services for you as a student or as Hanken faculty or staff. Many services are only available for you after login with Hanken user-id and password. As a student registered for the semester, or as an employee, you have the right to a user-id.

Sports facilities

The new eight storey building in Arabianranta, Helsinki, combines student housing and state of the art sports facilities. The building accomodates apartments on the lower levels and a sports center including a fitness gym and a test laboratory on top.

Student clubs

The Student Union of Hanken School of Economics, SHS, was founded in 1909. During the years the union has carried a great variety of names and been engaged in many different fields of activity. SHS received its current status as a veritable students’ union in 1975, in the process of a university reform. The union is today an independent public juridical entity, regulated by the decree on students’ unions.
