Student services
A Doct-Office is present on the campus of the Institut Pasteur. This office supervises doctoral students in close partnership with French universities and renowned international universities. Institut Pasteur has a strong commitment to doctoral students, both on the academic and social levels.
Housing services
The Institut Pasteur has a partnership with the Cité Universitaire Internationale de Paris ( a residence around 20 min from IP by metro), which includes the provision of 60 units for Institut Pasteur. A housing platform of Institut Pasteur in 3 languages (English, French, Chinese) also offers a lot of solutions to find accommodations. The PPU students have Units at the Cité Universitaire, automatically reserved for the first 6 months of their PhD.
Library services
The Institut Pasteur offers free access to a state of the art Library facility (Médiathèque) with hundreds of scientific journals, the most extensive resources for microbiology, immunology and molecular biology in France and the unique World Health Organization publication repository in the country.
ICT services
Students have a dedicate computer in the laboratory where they are conducting their research project. Free WiFi is on the campus. Students must abide to the institut’s rules concerning internet access and use. Our institution provides an IT support.
Medical services
A Healthcare Service is on the campus, open from 8h30 am to 5h30 pm. It is made by a multi-disciplinary team coordinated by the occupational physician. It has a preventive purpose, it does not make a prescription except in emergency situation.Its main mission: "To avoid any deterioration in the health of workers because of their work"
Student Life
Campus life
The IP campus is very close to the center of Paris. All the departments are in the same campus. There is a canteen. Supermarket, public transports, and other facilities are at walking distance.
Sports facilities
ASIP (the sport association of the Institut Pasteur) offers to all members of the Institut 23 activities, 2 gyms and over 30 hours of sports every week. This large selection of activities allows everyone to find their appropriate discipline.
Student clubs
The student association (STAPA) has two goals: scientific (to promote exchanges between young researchers and experienced scientists by organizing scientific meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences but also an annual international scientific retreat) and social ( to welcome and integrate young researchers to the Institut Pasteur but also help newcomers to settle down in Paris by organizing social events (welcome day, social hours, parties, travels, etc.) bringing people together.
