Be as you are It's in our D. We've been working for more than 40 years to be a different university. Being the first private university in the Valencian Community means knowing from experience what is important for the future of our students. And it is precisely the success of those who were already our students what has allowed us to understand how to move forward into the future. It is in our D, we are CEU. The Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (CEU Cardenal Herrera University) forms part of the Fundación CEU San Pablo (CEU San Pablo University Foundation), which is a not-for-profit teaching organization with more than 80 years of experience in the field of education. Those who set up the Foundation were members of the Asociación Católica de Propagandistas (ACdP), an organization founded in 1908 by Father Ayala. The Foundation, established in 1933 by the ACdP, possesses teaching facilities in 25 locations, providing more than 190 educational programs, ranging from Early Years Education to postgraduate studies and vocational training. The Foundation currently has a presence in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Murcia, Alicante, Vigo, Jerez, Elche, Sevilla and Valladolid. The establishment of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University was approved by the Valencian parliament in December 1999, but the Foundation had been undertaking educational activities in Valencia since 1971-72. After that first year of providing pre-university education, the institution then became a centro adscrito, or university college. From then onwards, the study programs grew to such an extent that it became a university in its own right, the first private university in the Valencia region. The Elche Campus began operating in 1994-95 and the Castellón Campus in 2007-08. The CEU Cardenal Herrera University is the only private university with a presence in the three provinces which make up the Valencia region (the Comunitat Valenciana).
