University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is a student-centered university offering instruction in liberal arts, professional, and technical fields. Located on the homelands of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian peoples, UAS serves the coastal environments, cultures, economies, and communities of Alaska through interdisciplinary education, workforce development, and scholarship, research, and creative activity.

Orientation and Welcome Week:

UAS offers a comprehensive orientation program for both on-campus and online students, including a full schedule of Welcome Week activities.

UAS Fall Lecture Series:

Free and open to the public, the lecture series covers a wide range of topics in science, sociology, arts, literature, politics, history, and more.

UAS Recreation Center (REC):

The REC offers a variety of recreational activities, including a remodeled climbing gym, weight room, rock climbing wall, studio, and a suspended running track with cardio equipment.

UAS Connect:

This online platform serves as the official campus community platform for students, faculty, and staff, providing access to student resources, clubs and groups, student activities, and event postings.

Student Life and Campus Experience:

UAS has campuses in Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan. The Juneau campus, located on Auke Bay, offers students residential housing and a traditional campus life experience. The Sitka and Ketchikan campuses offer classrooms and specialized training facilities.
