Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) is the first Pharmacy University in India and the third in the world. Established in 2008 by the State legislature of Delhi, it became operational in 2015. DPSRU is a 100% grant-in-aid State Government University recognized by the UGC. The university has a rich history spanning 57 years, starting as a D. Pharm. polytechnic in 1964, evolving into a College of Pharmacy in 1972, and finally becoming the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) in 2004. DPSRU is the culmination of this journey.
