Overview:

Aden Adde International University (AAIU) is a non-profit institution registered with the Ministry of Higher Education of Somalia. Founded in late 2015 by a group of Somali intellectuals led by Prof Dr. Osman Aden, AAIU aims to provide quality education and contribute to Somalia's development. The university was established to address the lack of educational infrastructure and qualified teachers in Somalia following the civil war.
