Overview:
Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology (HWAI), formerly known as China Junior College of Medical Technology, was established in 1968 in Jen-Te County, Tainan Hsien. Its primary goal was to provide educational opportunities for young individuals interested in the medical field. Initially, the university offered a single five-year daytime program with three departments for junior high school graduates. In 1988, two-year daytime and nighttime programs were introduced for senior high school graduates. The institution was upgraded to a College of Technology in 1999 and further elevated to Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology in 2007. In 2018, the university restructured its colleges into the College of Medical Technology, College of Nursing, and College of Human Life Science.
