Alagappa Government Arts College, Karaikudi is a co-educational institution established in 1947 by Dr. RM. Alagappa Chettiar. It is located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India, and occupies over 13.5 acres of land. The college was initially a private institution affiliated with the University of Madras, but transitioned to government administration in 1985 under the Private Colleges Act of 1976. It is currently affiliated with Alagappa University.
