Ho Chi Minh City University of Arts (HCMUFA), formerly known as Gia Dinh Painting School, was established in 1913. It has a long history of training talented artists and sculptors. The university's origins can be traced back to the early 20th century when French colonial authorities established art schools in Southern Vietnam to teach traditional decorative arts. HCMUFA has evolved over the years, becoming a leading institution for art education in Vietnam.
