Dr Y S R National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) is an autonomous educational institution established in 2004 by the Ministry of Tourism - Govt. of India and Govt. of Andhra Pradesh (now Government of Telangana). It began academic operations in October 2004 and was formally inaugurated by the INC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi on 16th March 2005. Located in the Business and Education hub of Hyderabad at Gachibowli, NITHM is a sector-specific institute modeled after IITs and IIMs, focusing on providing education, training, research, and consultancy in the Tourism and Hospitality industry both domestically and internationally.
