The Gujarat Institute of Development Research (GIDR), established in 1970, is a premier research organization focused on development issues. It is recognized and supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and the Government of Gujarat. GIDR is also an approved institute of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University.
