The Institute of Foreign Languages () is one of the first private higher education institutions in Russia. Founded in 1989 as a division of the Higher Humanities Courses, it became an independent educational organization in 1992, offering programs in foreign languages at both the higher and additional professional levels. The institute was established by graduates of Leningrad State University and was among the first non-state universities in Russia to receive a license for higher professional education. In 1998, it received state accreditation status.
