​The University of Cumbria International College (UCIC) is a newly established institution set to open in September 2025 at the University of Cumbria's Lancaster campus. This initiative is a collaboration between the University of Cumbria and Malvern International, aiming to provide international students with tailored academic preparation and support for successful integration into UK higher education. ​

• Academic Pathways: UCIC offers specialized programs designed to prepare students for undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Cumbria. These include:
• International Foundation Programme: Focuses on developing skills necessary for degree-level study, with subject routes in Business, Law & Social Sciences, Computer Science, and Health & Medical Biosciences.
• International Year One: Equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, this program enhances academic language skills and provides additional classroom support in areas like Business & Management and Computer Science.
• Pre-Master’s Programme: Prepares students for taught master’s degrees by combining academic modules, skills development, and English language classes, particularly in Business and Social Sciences. ​

• Supportive Learning Environment: Students will benefit from small class sizes, personalized tutorial sessions, and a curriculum designed to maximize learning potential. The college emphasizes a supportive atmosphere to help students reach their full potential. ​

• Campus Integration: From the outset, students at UCIC will be part of the University of Cumbria community, granting them access to campus facilities and resources. On-campus accommodation is available for students over 18, subject to availability.
