Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
The Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is offered by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science. Graduates of this program earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
Curriculum
The curriculum for this program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in clinical laboratory science. During the first two years, students complete all general education requirements, including prerequisite courses. A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA in biology and chemistry courses and an overall 2.0 GPA is required.
Professional Phase
In the professional phase, which includes the junior and senior years, students complete on-campus courses in each of the major clinical laboratory science disciplines, including:
- Hematology
- Clinical chemistry
- Microbiology
- Immunohematology Students also participate in clinical rotations in each of these departments at a clinical facility.
