The Business Management (including foundation year) BA is designed to improve your academic skills before you embark on the undergraduate program. The foundation year is perfect for those who don't have the standard entry requirements for direct entry and focuses on developing key academic skills, such as presentations, research, and writing.

On successful completion of the foundation year, you'll join students starting on the three-year degree and study the same content. You'll also gain a Level 5 Chartered Management Institute (CMI) certification. As a member of the CMI, you can access their facilities, attend events, and access over 200,000 live management jobs and its mentoring scheme.

Entry requirements
In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, you should have:
- at least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, eg BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
- English Language GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Accreditation of Prior Learning
Any university-level qualifications or relevant experience you gain prior to starting university could count towards your course at London Met. Find out more about applying for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
English language requirements
To study a degree at London Met, you must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If you require a Student visa (previously Tier 4) you may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires you to meet our standard requirements.
Assessment
You'll be assessed through group work, coursework, presentations, and portfolios as well as reports, business plans, and seen/unseen exams. Some modules will require you to produce an e-portfolio including real-life investigations and tasks. In your final year, you will also write a dissertation.

Our business and management graduates have gone on to careers as area managers, assistant management accountants, business, merger and acquisition analysts, and directors at organisations such as Amazon, Office Holdings, E Movement, and WizzAir.
