Fashion (Top-Up) - BA (Hons)
The Fashion (Top-Up) - BA (Hons) course at London Metropolitan University is designed for students who have completed a foundation degree, Higher National Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. This top-up degree is the final year of an undergraduate course, allowing students to gain a full BA (Hons) degree.

Entry Requirements
- 240 credits from a Higher National Diploma (HND), Foundation Degree (FdA/FdSc), or equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject.
- 240 credits from years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject at a different institution.
- A portfolio interview is required for suitable applicants living in the UK.
- Applicants living outside the UK must submit a portfolio of work via email.

Module Details
3D Design and Development 3
- This module involves designing and developing self-directed projects, including a major project.
- Students will undertake in-depth research, a well-constructed design development process, and exercise critical thinking skills.
Critical & Contextual Studies 3: Dissertation (3D)
- This module offers students the opportunity to understand and explore historical, social, cultural, and economic factors influencing architecture, art, and design practice.
- Students will develop a set of research questions and respond to them in the form of an extended critical study or dissertation.
Major Project Resolution: Fashion
- This module provides the opportunity for students to prepare themselves for employment or independent practice in fashion.
- Students will synthesise specialist knowledge and skills gained through the course and effectively communicate them through professional-standard production of their designs.
Professional Practice 2
- By the end of this module, students will have a detailed plan and materials ready for the launch of their career.
- The module focuses on researching how designers and practitioners build their professional and creative profiles and businesses.
Assessment
- Students will be assessed via a portfolio of project work and written work.
- There are no examinations on the course.
