Introduction to the Fashion Photography BA (Hons) Course
The Fashion Photography BA (Hons) course at London Metropolitan University is designed to encourage students to approach photographic practices through challenging and exciting projects. With strong industry links and a team of internationally renowned academics and practitioners, this course provides students with an in-depth understanding of visual aesthetics, concepts, and techniques of image production and consumption.

- Techniques: Photography
- Professional Practice 1: Photography and Professional Practice 2: Fashion Photography

Each module is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of fashion photography, from the history and theory of photography to practical skills and professional practice.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the Fashion Photography BA (Hons) course, applicants must have:
- A minimum of grades BBC in three A levels in art or design subjects (or a minimum of 112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification)
- A portfolio interview
- English language GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
Applicants with relevant professional qualifications or extensive professional experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Accreditation of Prior Learning
Any university-level qualifications or relevant experience gained prior to starting university could count towards the course at London Met. Students can find out more about applying for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
Assessment
There are no exams on this course. Instead, students are assessed through practical and written coursework at the end of each year and throughout the course. Students receive valuable verbal and written feedback as their work progresses.

Graduates of the Fashion Photography BA (Hons) course have a high rate of employability, with success stories including roles in picture editing, post-production, fashion and editorial photography, galleries, magazines, modeling agencies, picture libraries, and technical and creative industries.
