Program Overview


Introduction to Film and Television Studies (including foundation year) BA (Hons)

The Film and Television Studies (including foundation year) BA (Hons) course is designed for students who want to pursue a degree in film studies but do not meet the necessary requirements to enter the standard three-year degree. This course has a built-in foundation year that prepares students for more rigorous study in the subsequent three years of the course.

Entry Requirements

  • At least one A level (or a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification, e.g., BTEC Subsidiary/National/BTEC Extended Diploma)
  • English Language GCSE at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent, e.g., Functional Skills at Level 2)

Accreditation of Prior Learning

English Language Requirements

To study a degree at London Met, students must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. If a Student visa is required, students may need to provide the results of a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS. This course requires students to meet the standard requirements.


Assessment

Assessments will consist of in-class tests, coursework, summaries, presentations, textual analysis, essays, and screenplays.
